American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with at least 1 year of endoscopy experience and an active WA Surgical Tech/CST license for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Washington state.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced GI/Endoscopy department at a 500-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Procedures include a wide range of endoscopic cases involving the stomach, esophagus, intestinal tract, pancreatic, and biliary systems, serving patients with acute and chronic GI disorders
• 4x10-hour day shifts with varied start times (approximately 8:30 AM–7:00 PM)
• 13-week contract
• No call requirements
• No floating outside of scope
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Epic EMR charting is required (hard stop)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience required; 1–2 years preferred
• Active WA Surgical Tech (CST) license required — pending licenses are not accepted; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry proficiency required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias — a telemetry test will be administered
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
• At least 2 travel assignments beyond an initial hospital placement preferred
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former UW Health staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum
• Light blue scrubs are provided on the unit; any solid color scrubs are also acceptable
• On-site parking is available at $15/day on weekdays and $4–$5 on evenings and weekends; an offsite parking option (~1 mile away) is available for $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service running Monday–Friday, 5 AM–10 PM (not available nights, weekends, or holidays)
