American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Sleep Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in a dedicated pediatric sleep diagnostic lab, requiring BLS and polysomnography certification.

• 10-bed Pediatric Sleep Lab setting
• Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Natus technology used for sleep studies

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sleep technologist
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• One of the following credentials required: CPSGT or RPSGT from the BRPT, Sleep Technician credential from the ABSM, or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with sleep specialization from the NBRC
• RPSGT preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of certifications and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Prepare patients and equipment for ordered diagnostic sleep studies, including interviewing patients to assess sleep disorder concerns and explain procedures
• Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as needed to address patient needs or equipment issues
• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient data to identify needs; score, interpret, and report sleep study results
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment and report needed repairs or replacements
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Follows standard precautions and uses PPE as required
