Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital with a full-service OR department including cardiovascular surgery.

Details

• Large hospital OR department with 20 operating rooms and 2 cystoscopy suites in a 637-licensed-bed facility
• Patient population includes cardiovascular (open heart surgery, valve replacement, vascular surgery), general surgery (GYN, plastics, ENT, robotics, colorectal), orthopedics (joint replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma), ortho spine, and neurosurgery (spine and brain tumor removal)
• 10-hour day shifts, 7am–5pm, 40 hours per week
• On-call required approximately 6–9 shifts per month
• Holiday call coverage required
• No floating to other units required
• EMR: Epic Optime (Intraop)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of general OR experience required; minimum 5 years of CVOR experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Active license required if applicable
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
• 1-week facility orientation provided
• Scrubs provided via surgical green scrub exchange system
