Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital neurosurgical program specializing in complex cranial and spine procedures.

Details

• Hospital-based surgery department (Surgery 002) supporting a neurosurgical program
• Cases include transsphenoidal pituitary surgery, LITT, GammaTile brachytherapy implantation, DBS, additional complex cranial procedures, and complex spine
• 40 hours per week with scheduled shifts from 06:30 to 17:00
• On-call requirement of approximately 10-12 call shifts per month
• Weekend requirement limited to call shifts only
• Holiday coverage required for any holiday falling on a regularly scheduled shift
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience required, 4+ years preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• License required if applicable
• Advanced knowledge of neuro anatomy and specialized neurosurgical instrumentation
• Familiarity with emerging technologies including LITT systems, GammaTile implantation, stereotactic navigation, and DBS equipment
• High-level anticipation skills during complex cranial cases
• Strong team coordination skills to ensure patient safety during lengthy, high-risk procedures
