American Traveler is hiring a travel EEG Technologist for an inpatient neurodiagnostics role, with new grads from CAAHEP-accredited programs or candidates with 2+ years of EEG/EMU experience welcome to apply.

Details

• Inpatient EEG department setting
• Performs ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs
• Multiple shift options available: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 12:30 PM–8:00 PM, or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week on 8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• No holiday shifts required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program (new grads welcome) or a minimum of 2 years of hands-on EEG/EMU experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ABRET certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Performs all types of neurodiagnostic tests including ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs
• Provides descriptive analysis and findings per facility policy under general technical supervision
• Notifies Neuroscience physician as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings
• Explains procedures to patients using age-appropriate communication to obtain optimal results
• Documents patient data accurately in the chart and lab files
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repair service when needed following division policy
• Follows infection control policies and cleans/disinfects equipment with appropriate solutions
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
