American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Post Partum (5N) night shift position requiring prior travel experience, an active MA RN license, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week
• Inpatient Post Partum unit (5N) with 13 postpartum beds and 4 Continuing Care Nursery beds
• Patient population includes post vaginal delivery, post C-section, and patients requiring intermittent postpartum magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage management; newborn care included
• Medications and drips include IV antibiotics, intermittent IV magnesium, PRBCs, Rhogam, and Lovenox
• Specialty equipment includes Welch Allyn BP monitors, Nihon Kohden, venodyne machine, IV pumps, Panda warmer, and Medela breast pump
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must work every other weekend
• Must work every other major holiday
• Floating not required
• No on-call requirement; volunteers may be solicited to cover vacant shifts

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Postpartum RN experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Lactation certification preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 recent references from a Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor in the same specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a local pay rate
• Orientation consists of 3 days of hospital-wide orientation followed by 3 days of unit-specific orientation, held on a bi-weekly schedule
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; requests submitted after confirmation will not be honored
• RTO is limited to no more than 5 days per contract
• Block scheduling is not allowed
• Flu vaccine required during flu season
• Scrubs in any color are accepted; scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• A clinical interview will be conducted prior to placement
