American Traveler is hiring a travel EEG Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, VA, requiring 2+ years of hospital-based EEG experience and knowledge of neurodiagnostic recording across neonate, pediatric, and adult populations.

Details

• EEG/EMG unit within an acute care hospital setting certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center with a Level III Nursery
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Performs neurodiagnostic recording studies for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
• Equipment includes Nihon Kohden EEG systems and neuro work bench
• Documentation via Meditech EMR
• Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with rotating weekday evening call (4:00 PM–10:00 PM) and rotating weekend call Saturday–Sunday (7:00 AM–11:00 PM)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital-based EEG setting
• Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the EEG role
• R.EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) credential preferred
• Experience performing neurodiagnostic recording procedures on neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients required
• License required if applicable
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing neurodiagnostic recording studies and communicating directly with neurologists and epileptologists regarding abnormal EEG findings to assist in patient diagnosis and management
• Duties also include collecting documents, reviewing patient medical histories, and relaying relevant clinical factors to supervising physicians
• Scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
