American Traveler is seeking a travel Surgical First Assistant (CST FA) with at least 2 years of open heart and endoscopic vein harvest experience for a hospital CVOR position in Salt Lake City, UT.

Details

• Hospital CVOR setting with 2.5 operating rooms dedicated to cardiac surgery
• Unit specializes in cardiac procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, open and endoscopic aortic repair, and thoracic surgery
• Endoscopic vein harvesting performed utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro systems
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM–5:00 PM on a 36-hour weekly schedule
• On-call required every third weekday and every third weekend
• Float to the main OR may be required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of independent endoscopic vein harvest experience using Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro
• Minimum 2 years of open heart surgical first assist experience
• CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification required
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Active CST certification required; state license required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must have active experience within the last 6 months in this specialty
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Assist as first assistant during open heart and endoscopic cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Perform independent endoscopic vein harvesting using Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro systems
• Scrubs and attire are provided by the facility
• One professional reference is required (two references required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
