American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week OR assignment at a Level II trauma acute care hospital in West Virginia.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital OR department with 11 total rooms, including 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites handling approximately 65 cases per day
• Cases include general, vascular (excluding open heart), ortho, neuro, eyes, and ENT — a broad and varied surgical caseload
• Facility has recently integrated the Da Vinci robotic surgical system; candidates with robotic experience are strongly preferred
• Charting is performed in Epic EMR
• 12-hour day shifts, with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week with no call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• A copy of an unexpired driver's license is required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures across general, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, ophthalmology, and ENT specialties
• Support integration and use of the Da Vinci robotic surgical system
• No artificial or false nails are permitted per facility policy
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before returning
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
• Level II trauma designation reflects a high-acuity patient environment
