American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital setting, with rotating shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department with 2 designated X-Ray rooms (one inpatient, one outpatient) and 2 portable units, plus 2 additional outpatient rooms
• Inpatient and outpatient imaging performed across all patient ages
• Department performs 200+ scans and studies per day across all patients
• 8-hour rotating shifts covering all hours including afternoons, midnights, weekends, and holidays
• Weekend rotation required
• On-call rotation required with a 30-minute response time
• Charting performed in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• ARRT certification required, as applicable
• Current BLS required
• State license required if applicable
• 2 supervisor/peer references required, including 1 supervisor reference (must be from most recent perm facility if worked within the last 12 months)
• Driver's license and copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform inpatient and outpatient X-Ray imaging studies across all patient ages and acuity levels
• A radiology supervisor is present in each area; on-site radiologist coverage is provided Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM via a third-party group
• IV starts are not required for this position
• Light grey scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Orientation is customized based on the individual traveler's background
• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler's agency; the facility does not supply one
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered; cumulative time worked across WVU facilities applies toward the 1-year maximum
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, though experience requirements apply
