American Traveler is hiring a Senior Endoscopy Tech with 3+ years of GI/Endoscopy experience and strong scope reprocessing skills for a full-time, day-shift contract at an outpatient endoscopy center in Mission Hills, CA.

• Outpatient stand-alone endoscopy center in Mission Hills, CA
• 3-procedure-room facility serving patients with ASA classifications 1, 2, and 3
• Works alongside 3 Gastroenterologists with a daily procedure volume of 34–36 cases
• Procedures include upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomy, biopsy, PEG placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, and X-track
• Scope types include colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes
• Preferred equipment includes Olympus processors (CV-190), light sources (CLV-190), 190-series scopes, CO2 insufflator, Erbe cautery/ESU, Olympus OER Pro, and HLD reprocessing systems
• Epic EMR required; ProVation experience preferred
• Monday–Friday, 7:00–15:30 day shifts (5x8); no weekends, holidays, or on-call
• No floating to sister facilities required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an endoscopy center or GI lab
• SGNA education completion OR CST certification with 3 years of endoscopy experience
• Current BLS certification
• Strong scope reprocessing and high-level disinfection (HLD) skills required
• Proficiency with colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes
• Epic EMR experience required
• Professional license required if applicable
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Additional Information

• Perform and assist with a high-volume mix of upper and lower GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, polypectomy, biopsy, PEG placement, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, and X-track
• Responsible for high-level disinfection and reprocessing of all procedural equipment
• Back table set-up and room set experience preferred
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff in a team-oriented outpatient setting
• Parking costs are covered by the facility
• Scrub color to be determined
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted
• All RTO requests should be submitted at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
