American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Oncology RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency for a travel assignment at a large academic, Level I Trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology unit within a large academic, Level I Trauma facility with 1,259 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Role focuses on managing procedural radiation cases, including patient preparation, case progression, and discharge
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Epic EMR used for charting; experience is required
• 13-week contract minimum

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN license required at time of consideration; Illinois candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• CHEMO and OCN certifications preferred but not required
• Oncology and procedural nursing experience preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing procedural radiation cases collaboratively with the care team, prepping patients for procedures, and guiding patients through to discharge
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Pre-start orientation modules are required prior to beginning the assignment
• Monthly parking passes are available at various nearby lots and garages; costs vary by location
