American Traveler is hiring a Cardiology EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and device implants, for a travel contract at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Washington state.

Details

• Electrophysiology lab within a 637-bed Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital
• Patient population includes those undergoing coronary device implants (pacemakers, ICDs) and diagnostic EP and ablation procedures
• Procedures include pacemaker/ICD implants (including SQ-ICDs), loop recorders, Micra pacemakers, lead extractions with surgical support, and a full range of ablations (VT including epicardial, PVC, AFib, AFL, and other atrial ablations) using transeptal approach
• Mapping and ablation systems include Biosense Webster CARTO and Abbott Precision; cryo used for select AFib ablations
• Additional equipment includes Biotronik temp pacemaker box, Siemens X300 ICE machine, laser, Impella, IABP, PA lines (Swans), Alaris IV pump, and Hemochron ACT machine
• Monitoring via GE CardioLab; charting via Epic (preferred, not required)
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with a variable day off
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement; techs may voluntarily stay late to complete an ongoing procedure but are not subject to callback
• Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of EP technologist experience, with at least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment preferred
• Active WA Radiologic Technologist (RAD) license or WA Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) license required — license required if applicable
• ARRT (R) required for RAD license pathway; RCIS or RCES required for CIS license pathway
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Pending licenses are not accepted

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
• RTO is limited to 1 week maximum for the duration of the contract; no RTO may be requested during orientation week
• Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Scrubs are provided for EP/OR personnel (any color)
• Daily parking is available on-site for $10.26 per day
