American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cath lab experience and RCIS certification for a 13-week acute care assignment in a cardiac cath lab setting.

Details

• Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 2 procedure suites
• Common procedures include all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart), and peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention
• Averages 8 cases per day
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call required as needed, averaging approximately 12 days per month, including at least one weekend (Friday 5:30 PM–Monday 7:00 AM); 30-minute response time required
• Holiday call coverage is required on a rotating, assigned basis
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
• RCIS or CVT certification required, with demonstrated scrub experience for PCI/STEMI cases
• Must be able to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases
• Current BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• Radiology license not required
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses not accepted

Additional Information

• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Orientation is 1–2 shifts, depending on skill level
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Support resources on unit include a charge nurse, IV team, RT (24/7), and pharmacy (24/7)
