Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of cardiac experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in a CVOR unit performing CABG, TAVR, and valve replacement cases.

Details

• Acute care hospital CVOR unit with 2 operating suites averaging 4 cases per day
• Common cases include CABG, TAVR, minimally invasive and open valve replacements
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with call and weekend requirements
• 8-hour shifts; holiday coverage is required
• Mandatory call/standby requirement with a 30-minute call response time
• Floating to the main OR may be required
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital provides scrubs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/CVOR experience required
• BLS certification required; active and non-pending at time of consideration
• COVID vaccination required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Scrub technologist role performing scrubbing duties in cardiovascular surgical cases
• Unit-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
