American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby / Post Partum position in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of recent Mother/Baby acute care experience and active NRP certification.

Details

• Located in a hospital Mother Baby unit with 26 beds
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4
• Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 7–8 RNs, and 1 Lactation Consultant; night shift includes 1 Charge RN and 6–7 RNs
• EMR: Meditech / CPN
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Mother/Baby acute care hospital experience required
• Minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing circumcisions and educating new parents on newborn safety, nurturing, and health
• Lactation experience preferred
• Transitions experience preferred
• Ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and friendly with a strong focus on patient care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• No candidates will be considered who have a gap in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
