American Traveler is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist with broad OR experience, including vascular and orthopedic specialties, for a hospital operating room position.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room (OR) setting
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a local rate
• On-call participation required for after-hours urgent and emergent surgical cases

Requirements

• CST certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
• Vascular surgery scrubbing experience required
• Orthopedic surgery experience required
• Broad OR experience across multiple surgical specialties strongly preferred
• 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — must be from within the past year and within the surgical specialty
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Serve as an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team in the scrub role
• Prepare, handle, and manage instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures
• Demonstrate understanding of procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality patient care throughout the operative procedure
• Function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours urgent and emergent surgical cases
