American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract position at a medical center in Decorah, Iowa, with experience across multiple surgical specialties required.

Details

• Hospital surgical department serving a diverse patient population across multiple specialties
• Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental
• Primarily 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with start times as early as 6:00 AM depending on surgical caseload
• On-call rotation of approximately 1 night per every 2-week pay period and every 5th to 6th weekend
• Holiday call rotation is required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training required
• Must be able to remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call
• Active state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist in a variety of surgical cases spanning general and specialty procedures
• Support safe and efficient surgical operations by preparing sterile fields, instruments, and supplies
• Participate in on-call and holiday call rotations as part of the regular schedule
