Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic scrubbing experience and Mako Robot knowledge for a hospital OR position in the Salem, MA area.

Details

• Work in a 12-OR hospital surgical services department with a wide range of services and a robust orthopedic total joint program
• Orthopedic patient population with all patient types served
• 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio
• Ability to scrub orthopedic cases, including cases involving the Mako Robot system
• Charting performed in Epic
• Monday through Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, 10-hour shifts
• Call required 2–4 times per month
• May be required to float to other services

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience
• Proficiency scrubbing orthopedic cases and familiarity with the Mako Robot system
• CST certification from NBSTSA or NCCT required
• BLS certification from AHA only
• Epic EMR experience
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

• Assist in a high-volume orthopedic surgical environment with a strong total joint program
• Scrub a variety of orthopedic cases including procedures utilizing the Mako robotic system
• Support daily OR operations across a 12-room surgical suite with diverse service lines
• Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• Parking is not validated at this location; public transportation and paid public parking are available nearby
