American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab/Cardiology position in Olympia Fields, IL, requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab within a Cardiology department
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift schedule, 0800–1630
• On-call rotation required every 2nd–3rd weekend, approximately 1–3 times per week
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular/Cath Lab performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care setting
• BSN preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, a similar platform, or the free CDC resource

Additional Information

• Deliver patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and ready for use
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition throughout time in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI initiatives
