American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby / Labor & Delivery position in Montana, requiring NRP and STABLE certification with the ability to serve as Charge Nurse.

Details

• Hospital-based Mother Baby / Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule
• Experience in antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulating, and PACU roles is preferred
• Must be able to serve as Charge Nurse when needed
• Floating to other departments as a safety companion may be required
• Weekend and after-hours shifts may be required
• On-call availability may be required

Requirements

• Active MT RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (recertification every 2 years), and STABLE (within two years of hire)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must be able to function as a catch/transition nurse
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform frequent standing, walking, twisting, bending, and reaching above shoulder level
• Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating nursing practice outcomes
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to deliver patient and family-centered care
• Expected to contribute to peer and colleague professional development
• Must complete all required ongoing education per DNV and facility policy requirements
• Stroke competency education required: 2 hours initial training within the first year, plus 1 hour annually thereafter
• Work environment involves continuous exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, chemicals, radiation, and emotionally challenging situations
