American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience and multi-specialty proficiency for a hospital operating room position working day shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting supporting a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical program
• Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
• Floating within the facility, within scope of practice, and to Outpatient as needed
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of operating room experience prior to travel
• Required specialty experience includes Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
• Active professional licensure required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
• RTO must be submitted with your profile; a maximum of 7 days is allowed, and none may be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work two of them and may request one holiday off for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shifts or schedule change requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates undergo a clinical review process to determine fit prior to manager consideration
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a two-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
