American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 1 year of cardiovascular scrubbing experience for a hospital OR position in Colorado.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room with assignments in both the CVOR and main ORs
• CVOR patient population requiring cardiovascular surgical cases
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, totaling 40 hours per week
• Includes 21 CVOR call shifts within a 9-week schedule
• Floating to other OR departments may be required based on business need
• On-call availability required during regularly scheduled shifts
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience required; cardio experience should be reflected on resume
• Graduation from a formal, accredited Surgical Technologist program required (U.S. military surgical tech training may substitute)
• High school diploma or GED required
• BLS certification from the AHA required and must not expire prior to start date
• Colorado DORA license required if applicable
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as required

Additional Information

• Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and sterile technique throughout surgical cases
• Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to surgeon preference lists
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon and maintain a sterile field
• Perform sponge, needle, blade, and instrument counts using proper technique and established policy
• Handle and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis; manage implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps per policy
• Assist with timely room turnover, including cleanup, supply restocking, and equipment care
• One year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital is preferred
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
