Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of OR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Washington state, covering a high-volume OR with diverse surgical specialties and call requirements.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital OR with 11 suites averaging 30–40 cases per day
• Surgical specialties include neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, GYN, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with flexible start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM (day and evening shifts)
• Weekend and call shifts are required
• Mandatory call requirement of 2–3 calls per 6-week schedule, with a 20-minute response time for trauma and 30 minutes for non-trauma
• Floating to a sister facility (Walters) may be required
• EMR system is Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR scrub experience required; trauma experience preferred
• Active WA state surgical technologist license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
• COVID vaccination is required for this position
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Hospital scrubs are provided — no personal scrubs required
• Unit-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through an outside staffing firm will be considered
