American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Wound Care Center position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and offering a standard day shift schedule Monday through Friday.

Details

• Outpatient Wound Care Center setting with direct patient care focus
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• Procedures include wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and discharge coordination are core functions of the role

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical prioritization skills
• Proficiency with wound care procedures and IV therapy
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education

Additional Information

• Delivers patient- and family-centered education and coordinates individualized treatment and discharge planning
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary and inter-professional teams to develop and implement care plans
• Applies evidence-based practice and adheres to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional nursing guidelines
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing
