Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with PET experience and ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care Magnet hospital in Mission Viejo, CA.

Details

• Acute care Magnet hospital with 426 staffed beds
• Primary placement in PET imaging, with potential float to Nuclear Medicine as needed
• Travelers may also be expected to float between facilities within the state
• Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 day shifts
• Post-shift and rotating weekend call required; actual call expectations may vary by experience level and will be discussed during the interview
• Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
• Charting in Epic (required)
• Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required; CA state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
• Minimum of 6 months of PET experience required — hard stop
• PET certification is not required; required NM certification plus PET experience is sufficient
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience; those with less experience may be screened on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience required
• Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
• Must be open to taking call based on experience level
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration
• Scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered under a local pay rate — please contact your recruiter for details
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
• RTO requests should be minimal; any time off must be declared upfront as post-offer requests may be denied
