American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT experience for a night shift contract in an acute care hospital radiology department using Epic and Synapse PACS.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) department
• Department has 2 CT scanners
• Routine CT imaging performed including head, chest, abdomen/pelvis, CTA head, CTA chest, and calcium scoring studies
• Average of 30–40 scans per day
• GE CT scanners in use; EMR is Epic Radiant and PACS is Synapse
• IV placement is required
• No floating to other areas
• Night shift position with variable shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours; schedule includes 5:30 PM–5:30 AM Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM Monday, and 6:00 PM–12:00 AM Tuesday
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required; pending certifications are not accepted
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; a driver's license is required for consideration to verify permanent address
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform routine and advanced CT imaging studies including CTA and calcium scoring, with IV contrast administration
• Radiologist is on-site; no RRAs used in the department
• In-house orientation is provided; candidates must be in state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote
• Travelers are responsible for providing their own radiation dosimetry badge (rad badge), as the facility does not supply one
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Travelers are expected to float within the regional zone they are hired into and must secure housing that allows them to meet this requirement
