Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a travel assignment at a Level 1 trauma, acute care teaching hospital.

Details

• Large short-term acute care teaching hospital with 1,259 staffed beds
• Level 1 trauma center with inpatient, outpatient, ER, ICU, and NICU patient populations
• 4x10 hour mid/evening shifts from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off during the week
• One Saturday per month may be required, as needed
• One holiday per rotation may be required
• Charting via Epic
• Current MRI scanners include Siemens Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida (multiple of each)
• May be required to float within scope per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• Proficiency with at least two of the facility's current Siemens software platforms preferred
• Experience with IV starts and PACS preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Preferred imaging skills include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral MR, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images
• Valid Missouri state license required; license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Black scrubs required
• No call requirements
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Allied travelers may remain on assignment for up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
