American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, requiring fluoroscopy, surgery, and trauma X-ray experience.

• 492-bed Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center
• Radiology department setting serving inpatient and outpatient adult patients, with occasional pediatric outpatients and ED cases
• Patient ratio of 1:1, with an average of 4 patients/hour (approximately 40 patients per day)
• X-ray procedures include fluoroscopy, surgery, portable, trauma, and diagnostic imaging
• CT procedures include biopsy drainage, trauma, and angiogram (required); stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
• X-ray equipment includes GE and Siemens fluoro rooms, Konica DR room, 2 Siemens X-ray rooms, GE portables, and Carestream portable
• CT equipment is all GE
• EMR: Cerner
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (36 hours/week)
• Float within different areas of the main radiology department as needed
• Voluntary on-call available
• Holiday coverage per hospital policy
• Scheduling managed through Smart Square; no self-scheduling

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required if strong skills in required areas; first-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• CT ARRT certification required for CT work; AL state license for X-ray not required as ARRT fulfills that requirement
• State license for CT or MRI preferred
• Fluoroscopy, surgical imaging, portable, trauma, and diagnostic X-ray experience required
• CT angiogram experience required; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
• O-arm experience preferred; DEXA experience a plus
• Ability to work with adult patients and occasional pediatric outpatients/ED patients
• SSN, DOB (day and month), copy of certifications, and 1 reference from a charge-level or above supervisor within the past 12 months required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler at this facility
• Interviews are conducted via SimpliFi; candidates should be prepared for a formal interview process
• Orientation includes one 8-hour hospital orientation session followed by 2–3 shifts on the unit with another tech (day shift)
• Scrubs of any color are permitted
