American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist - First Assist (CST-FA) with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and expertise in ortho, spine, abdominal robotics, and plastics for a 13-week travel assignment in a Level 1 trauma hospital OR Float Pool.

Details

• Position is based in the OR Float Pool of a 966-bed Level 1 trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR serving both inpatient and outpatient cases, plus 5 procedural rooms
• Adult patient population only; pediatric OR is a separate facility
• Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; specific days will vary based on unit need and a block schedule is not available
• Floating within the OR is required, but not between separate facility locations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of OR scrub experience required
• First Assist experience required
• Experience in orthopedics, orthopedic spine, abdominal robotics, and plastics required
• NBSTSA CST-FA certification required; this is the only accepted certification and must be on file at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• BLS certification required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Despite the First Assist role, candidates will also be required to scrub cases
• This is a 13-week assignment
