American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week evening shift contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a 562-bed, Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility
• MRI department assignment covering a broad range of body regions and specialty protocols
• 3x12-hour evening shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed by the department
• On-call required as needed
• No floating required within or outside the unit
• Charting via Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required
• ARRT-MR certification preferred
• Current BLS required; AHA or Red Cross accepted — RQI AHA cards are not accepted
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency across a comprehensive range of MRI procedures required, including: Abdomen, Abdominal MRA/MRV, Female and Male Pelvis, MRCP, Chest, Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/Soft Tissue Neck, Head MRA/MRV, Neck MRV, Orbits, MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff, and musculoskeletal studies (Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower and Upper Extremity Long Bones, Shoulder, Sternum, TMJ with/without contrast)
• Special imaging procedure proficiency required, including: CINE (CSF flow study), Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, MIP, Multiplanar Reconstruction, Perfusion, Peripheral MRA (Iliac/Runoff), Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 and T-2 Weighted Images
• Spine MRI experience required across Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx, Thoracic, Spinal Trauma, and Thoracic MRA
• License required if applicable — active professional license required at time of consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Any permanent or PRN employee of the facility's hospital system must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; anything beyond 5 days requires facility approval
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
