Description

American Traveler is seeking a highly experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 5+ years of multi-specialty OR experience and the ability to precept for a hospital-based surgical position.

Details

• Hospital-based operating room (OR) setting
• Multi-specialty surgical caseload required, including General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head & Spine, and Trauma
• Preferred specialty experience includes C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and DaVinci Robot-assisted surgery
• On-call availability is required for this position
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience is highly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience (non-negotiable)
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proficiency across required surgical specialties: General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head & Spine, and Trauma
• Must be able to precept other staff
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
• 2 recent supervisory signed references (from within the past 2 years of employment) required
• Current CST skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidate must be willing and available to take call — those unwilling to take call will not be considered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested; all scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
• First-time travelers are not implied to be excluded, but extensive experience and preceptor capability are firm requirements
