American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and comfort managing a 1:6 patient ratio with PCU-level patients.

• Work setting is an acute care hospital with 210 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for PCU-level patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 required
• Orthopedic and total joint replacement patient population
• Charting is performed using Meditech
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Free parking on-site in any unrestricted space

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must be comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio with PCU-level patients
• Experience with orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing care strongly preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care to PCU-level patients, including orthopedic and total joint replacement cases
• Clinical orientation week requires availability for a mandatory 5 shifts (approximately 36–40 hours)
• Approximately 4 hours of online modules must be completed prior to the start date

• Holiday coverage is required based on the number of holidays falling within the assignment period
