American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and the ability to float between facilities statewide.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating required between all facilities within the state
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR — required (hard stop)

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Solid navy blue scrubs required for all licensed nursing personnel; solid-colored tops only (no print tops)
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact eligibility
• Any RTO or scheduling requests must be submitted upfront — post-offer requests may be denied
