American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a diagnostic radiology unit at a Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital, with 12-hour night shifts on a weekend-only schedule.

Details

• Diagnostic radiology department within a large acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, also recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
• High-volume department averaging 350–400 patients per day
• Equipment includes Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose unit, Konica and Shimadzu portables, and GE and Siemens R/F rooms
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
• Weekend-only position with no rotation between weekdays and weekends
• On-call is required and shared equitably among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology
• Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new graduates to long-tenured staff
• Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is pre-approved by the manager
• RTO requires manager approval
