American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and BLS certification for a weekend-shift contract role at an outpatient medical plaza setting in South Carolina.

Details

• Outpatient medical plaza imaging department in the Charleston, SC area
• Performs CT scans of designated anatomical areas under the medical supervision of certified radiologists
• Charting in Cerner EMR
• Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM with a shared call rotation covering 2–3 shifts every 6 weeks
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT registration preferred
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
• Active SC or compact state license required (if applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health or CT program preferred
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and carry or push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform CT exams following established protocols under radiologist direction, ensuring diagnostic image quality
• Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate practices
• Assists in the clinical education and supervision of student radiologic technologists
• Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedures and communicates with family members regarding discharge instructions
• Adheres to ALARA radiation safety principles and complies with DHEC, TJC, OSHA, and FDA standards
• Maintains accurate patient records, orders, diagnoses, and clinical histories in the computer system
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
