American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS or CCI certification for a 13-week travel assignment in a children's hospital setting.

Details

• Pediatric echocardiography unit within a children's hospital setting
• Floating required between the main children's hospital and a North Charleston outpatient clinic
• Pediatric patient population with complex congenital heart defects
• Daily caseload of 4–10 echocardiograms per tech
• GE Vivid 95 ultrasound system and PACS used in this department; experience preferred
• Epic EMR; experience preferred
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with staggered start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography
• ARDMS certification with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) specialty, or CCI certification with Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) credential — all certifications must be in hand at time of start
• Pending state license accepted; license required if applicable
• Current BLS (AHA only)
• Proficiency in scanning pediatric echocardiograms and extensive knowledge of complex congenital heart disease and defects
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent or PRN staff at any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams, which includes hurricane season coverage (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• A physician reference is highly recommended for this position
