American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years of endoscopy experience and advanced case experience for a 13-week travel contract in Colorado.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Endoscopy/GI department — the only such department on the Western Slope of Colorado
• 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week with rotating call
• Procedures include polypectomies, biopsies, screening exams, ERCPs, and dilations
• Advanced and high-complexity endoscopic cases are a regular part of the workload

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required
• Advanced case endoscopy experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Registration with DORA as a CO Surgical Tech required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• SGNA Associates and/or Advanced Associates Program certification highly preferred
• IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification highly preferred
• CO state license required if applicable
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Assist nursing staff and physicians during GI procedures including setup, equipment operation, and real-time support
• Responsible for disinfection, reprocessing, and troubleshooting of endoscopic equipment
• Additional duties include room setup and stocking, patient transport, and assisting patients with dressing and ambulation
• Apply EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedure start
• DOB or SSN required for consideration
• Copies of active CO DORA CST registration and AHA BLS required for consideration
