American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for an evening shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARDMS OB/GYN and AB certifications with at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• General ultrasound unit within a 500-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital
• Evening shift, 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Orientation begins on day shift before transitioning to evening schedule; once oriented, clinician will work independently from 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Rotating weekend on-call coverage (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) approximately every 5th weekend
• Charting via Epic (required — hard stop)
• No floating outside of scope required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
• Active ARDMS OB/GYN and ARDMS AB certifications required
• Current BLS required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
• Pending license not accepted; active WA state license required at time of consideration
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week; additional time off requests should be kept to a minimum
• Prior UW facility staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Solid color scrubs accepted; light blue scrubs are also provided on the unit
• Onsite parking is available at a daily cost varying by day and shift; offsite parking is also available approximately 1 mile away at $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service (weekdays, 5:00 AM–10:00 PM only — not available nights, weekends, or holidays)
