American Traveler is seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in Eclipse and Aria for a 13-week travel contract in a Level I trauma acute care Radiation Oncology department.

Details

• Radiation Oncology department within an acute care, Level I trauma hospital
• Dosimetry unit focused exclusively on external beam treatment planning (EBRT)
• Treatment modalities include 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, and SBRT
• Department serves approximately 60 patients on active treatment
• Equipment includes Varian TrueBeam and Edge linear accelerators
• Record and verify system: Aria; additional software includes MIM and Radformation
• Hospital EMR: Epic
• Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• On-call requirement with a 1-hour response time

Requirements

• Active CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) certification required; pending certification not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable; active at time of consideration — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of dosimetry experience required
• Proficiency with Eclipse treatment planning software required
• Experience with Aria record and verify system required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include external beam treatment planning and presenting completed plans to Radiation Oncologists
• This position supports the core staff dosimetrist and is an additive role within the department
• On-site orientation provided by the department manager (12 orientation hours)
• Gray scrubs or business casual attire required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; a driver's license is used to verify permanent address
• Candidates who are currently or have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result to contract termination
