American Traveler is hiring an EKG Technologist (Monitor Tech) with telemetry monitoring experience for a dual Monitor Tech and Unit Secretary role in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Inpatient telemetry unit with combined Monitor Tech and Unit Secretary responsibilities
• Duties include continuous telemetry monitoring as well as unit secretary functions
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Monitor Tech (note: 2 years is the general facility standard)
• Current BLS and EKG certification required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• CA license required if applicable
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include continuous telemetry monitoring, placing specialty bed requests, coordinating swallow consults, answering and transferring phones, and placing nutrition/food requests
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Former employees or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
