American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week day shift contract requiring at least 5 years of experience and proficiency in TEE, TTE, and Stress Echo.

Details

• Echocardiography department at a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Philips ultrasound equipment used for cardiac imaging
• Performs M-Mode, 2D, color Doppler, exercise/stress testing, and TEE procedures
• Lumason used as imaging agent; bubble studies performed
• Epic EMR used (experience is a plus)
• IV placement capability is a plus

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• Proficiency in TEE, TTE, and Stress Echo required
• Associate's degree in Radiology or equivalent certification required
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• ACLS certification preferred (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted — license required if applicable
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scanning patients across all aspects of cardiac sonography
• Reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer and works within established departmental policies and procedures
• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
• All certifications must be AHA only per facility policy
• RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
