American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL.

Details

• 562-bed Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Vascular ultrasound unit with an average daily census of 20–35 procedures per day
• Adult patient population
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Overnight and weekend call required
• 2–3 weekends required per 13-week contract
• Rotation to an offsite location on Mondays and Fridays on a departmental rotation basis
• Charting in Cerner (experience required)
• No floating within scope required for this role, though all travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility

Requirements

• ARDMS or CCI certification preferred; license required if applicable
• Active professional licenses and certifications required at time of consideration
• BLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Experience working with an adult patient population required
• Dialysis graft study experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance deadline to meet fingerprinting requirements
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have a 12-month separation before being considered as a traveler
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO is ideally no more than 5 days for the contract; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
• Any scrub color is acceptable as long as it is a solid color
• Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
