American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with RPSGT certification and 2+ years of experience performing and scoring pediatric and adult sleep studies.

Details

• On-site sleep lab setting with both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Day shift position, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Procedures include overnight polysomnography, home sleep test (HST) setup and scoring, and pediatric and adult sleep study scoring
• Uses Natus Sleepworks and Epic EMR
• No on-call or call-back requirements

Requirements

• RPSGT certification required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RPSGT performing and scoring sleep studies
• Proficiency with home sleep test (HST) setup and scoring
• Experience with pediatric and adult sleep study scoring
• Experience with Natus Sleepworks and Epic required
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75–100 lbs and carry up to 30 lbs
• Full Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Analyze and score sleep/wake stages and clinical events (respiratory, cardiac, limb movements, arousals, etc.) according to current AASM standards and center-specific protocols
• Generate accurate reports by tabulating clinical event data and discussing results and treatment outcomes with lab physicians
• Conduct patient interviews to assess medications, recent alcohol or caffeine use, current sleep patterns, and need for treatment intervention during study
• Provide quality assurance feedback for every study and staff education for areas of concern
• Complete monthly inter-scorer reliability exams per system standards
• Assist with orientation and in-service training for sleep lab personnel
• Ensure safety and welfare of patients, including pediatric and psychiatric patients with special needs
