American Traveler is seeking an ARRT-certified Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of experience and an Ohio license for a hospital-based outpatient/inpatient Radiation Oncology department in Columbus, OH.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department treating both outpatient and inpatient populations
• Outpatients arrive directly for treatment; inpatients are transported to the department by the facility's transport team
• Treatments administered Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:15 PM; no weekends or on-call required
• Modalities include 3D conformal, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT
• Department operates 1 TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
• Radiation Therapists also staff 1 CT scanner for patient simulation appointments
• Comprehensive team includes Radiation Therapists, Nurses, PSAs, Radiation Oncology MDs, Dosimetrists, and Physicists

Requirements

• Active Ohio Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience required
• Associate's Degree in Radiography required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and maintain daily treatment records including dosages and calculations
• Perform simulations, acquire treatment parameters, obtain patient contours, and perform dose calculations
• Coordinate and maintain patient schedules for both inpatient and outpatient populations, communicating with families and hospital staff to accommodate patients
• Monitor patient condition and progress daily, including patient weight, skin care, and treatment reactions
• Assist the Radiation Oncologist with Brachytherapy procedures
• Three Radiation Oncologists on staff who see patients for consults, follow-ups, and on-treatment visits
