American Traveler seeks an ARRT-registered Radiation Therapist for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department in Columbus, OH, requiring 2+ years of experience and an OH license.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department treating both outpatient and inpatient populations
• Department operates 3 Linear Accelerators: 2 TrueBeam and 1 Halcyon
• Treatments include 3D, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT modalities
• Department averages 80–90 treatments per day
• Radiation Therapists also staff CT simulation suites, averaging 6–7 CT scan appointments per day
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30 with flexibility to start early or stay late based on department need
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Ohio Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience required
• Associate's Degree in Radiography required

Additional Information

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and assist the Radiation Oncologist with Brachytherapy procedures
• Maintain daily treatment records including dosages, calculations, and other required documentation
• Perform simulations and acquire treatment parameters, patient contours, and dose calculations
• Manage and coordinate patient schedules for both inpatients and outpatients, communicating regularly with families and hospital personnel
• Monitor daily patient condition and progress including weight, skin care, and treatment reactions
• Comprehensive team includes Radiation Therapists, Nurses, PSAs, Radiation Oncology MDs, Dosimetrists, and Physicists
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the central Columbus, OH facility to be eligible for this position
