American Traveler is seeking an ARRT-certified Radiation Therapist with a valid Ohio license and 2+ years of experience for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department in Columbus, OH.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department treating both outpatient and inpatient populations
• Department operates 3 Linear Accelerators: 2 TrueBeam and 1 Halcyon
• Treatment modalities include 3D, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT
• Department averages 80–90 treatments per day
• Radiation Therapists also staff CT simulation appointments, averaging 6–7 CT scan appointments per day
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30, with flexibility to start early or stay late based on department needs
• No weekends or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Ohio Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience required
• Associate's Degree in Radiography required

Additional Information

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and perform CT simulations, including acquiring treatment parameters, patient contours, and dose calculations
• Maintain daily treatment records including dosages, calculations, and other required documentation
• Manage and coordinate patient schedules for both inpatient and outpatient populations, communicating regularly with families and hospital staff
• Monitor patient condition and progress daily, including weight, skin care, and treatment reactions
• Assist the Radiation Oncologist with Brachytherapy procedures
• Work within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team including Radiation Therapists, Nurses, PSAs, Rad Onc MDs, Dosimetrists, and Physicists
• Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the central facility location in Columbus, OH to be eligible for this position
