American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week OR assignment at a hospital in Bozeman, MT, requiring CST certification and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

• Hospital OR setting with both scheduled and non-scheduled surgical cases
• Variable shift schedule at 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, or equivalent military surgical technologist program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent
• MT state license required if applicable
• Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Functions in the scrub role, working under the supervision of the surgeon and RN to maintain a safe OR environment and support patient safety during invasive procedures
• Prepares and manages case carts according to surgeon preference cards, including procurement of instruments and supplies
• Coordinates instrumentation with OR staff and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) throughout the day for both scheduled and add-on cases
• Reviews the daily surgical schedule with the charge nurse and SPD coordinator to identify potential turnover delays or scheduling conflicts
• Serves as a resource for SPD and Surgical Services for supply and instrumentation procurement
• Communicates with materials management regarding supply utilization and deployment
• Assumes responsibility for core phone communications and coordination of breaks and lunches for applicable team members
