American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Surgery Tech with at least 1 year of CVOR/Open Heart scrubbing experience for a 13-week OR assignment in Oregon requiring active state surgical tech certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room providing cardiac surgical care
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients
• Collaborative environment with a variety of provider specialties across inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
• Shift varies per patient needs with occasional weekend requirements
• On-call is expected for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR/Open Heart scrubbing experience required
• Current Oregon surgical technology certification required — license required if applicable
• Certification must be met through one of the following pathways: (1) Completion of a U.S. armed forces or Public Health Service surgical tech training program plus 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years; (2) Graduation from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited surgical technology program plus NBSTSA certification or program completion within the past 12 months; or (3) At least 2 years of surgical technology practice between January 1, 2014 and January 1, 2017 in a hospital, ASC, or federal institution plus 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• This facility strictly enforces all posted requirements and will not consider candidates who do not meet every listed certification and experience criteria

Additional Information

• Scrub surgical procedures in a cardiac OR setting, including open heart cases
• Support care for patients undergoing procedural sedation and surgical intervention
• Experience or training in computer applications is preferred
