American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with Illinois IEMA licensure and ARRT certification for a hospital Radiation Oncology department on a 13-week day shift contract.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology and Physics department
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois IEMA Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (license required if applicable)
• ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy (T)
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of relevant radiation therapy experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Deliver planned radiation therapy treatments accurately and with minimal supervision
• Perform daily image fusion to verify treatment fields match the intended area of interest
• Fabricate custom patient immobilization devices to ensure accurate daily alignment
• Conduct daily quality assurance checks on treatment plans and radiation delivery equipment
• Monitor patients during treatment and communicate concerns to the physician or nurse as needed
• Candidate interviews conducted by facility leadership
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any facility within the system
